Once October hits, there are many wonderful things to look forward to. The leaves begin morphing into brilliant reds, oranges, and yellows. Pumpkin spice lattes and apple cider start to pour into mugs. Halloween approaches and the season of Fall has truly settled in. At NCC and the Coffee Lab, these changes mark the coming of a beloved yearly event: Homecoming.
Whether alumni, current students, or community members, the Coffee Lab is delighted to welcome and celebrate homecoming together at our open house!During these few days of celebration, the Coffee Lab will serve coffee and share sales on some of our products when bought at our in-person location. Throughout, we remember and celebrate the importance of our community, practicing thankfulness a whole month early.
Victoria Monte has worked at the Coffee Lab since her sophomore year. Her very first event working for the Coffee Lab was Homecoming, back when we were still tailgating in Championship Plaza on the south side of campus. She distinctly remembers all the people that helped with the event, both through the Coffee Lab and in the community.
"It's just such a good community events. You invite everybody and pretty much everybody ends up showing up," said Victoria.
Homecoming is a wonderful community event, and we at the Coffee Lab love any and all opportunities to connect with our community. Students are introduced to their friends' families, professors are able to interact with students outside of classrooms and academic settings, and alumni can forge new relationships that maintain their lasting connection to NCC.

Our espresso cart, with regular latte favorites and our special drinks of the day, will be open ready to enjoy. Students are excited to talk about the Coffee Lab mission and to engage with the wonderful community that supports us.
